Our Functions

Urban Grounds Café can comfortably host up to 260 guests for cocktail-style functions, 200 for seated events, and 160 for weddings. Our versatile spaces can be combined to create the ideal setting for your occasion.
We offer a range of function packages, including canapé and cocktail-style menus, two- and three-course meal options, and elegant high teas. Customised packages are also available to suit your specific needs.

Drawing Room

Charming colonial-style room featuring an open fireplace and classic VJ walls, ideal for intimate gatherings of up to 25 guests.

Deck

A stunning outdoor entertaining area, ideal for afternoon or evening soirées during the spring and summer months. While the deck is uncovered, umbrellas are available to provide shade as needed. This versatile space is perfect for pre-dinner cocktails and canapés or any relaxed, casual gathering.

Urban Room

Spacious function area accommodating up to 60 guests, with the option of complete privacy. For larger events, the space can be expanded by opening sliding glass doors into the adjoining Central Room. This area also includes access to a projector and AV equipment, making it ideal for presentations or multimedia needs.

Central Room

The café’s central room serves as a versatile space, ideal for smaller gatherings that enjoy the lively café atmosphere, or as additional seating for larger groups requiring more room.

Verandah

A semi-private space overlooking the gardens, accommodating up to 45 guests. Fully weatherproof and air-conditioned for your comfort, this area is best enjoyed during the day, offering picturesque views of the gardens and Laurel Bank Park. Private use of the full veranda requires a minimum of 40 guests and is subject to management discretion.
